Hummingbirds for Susan.

A continuation of this post.

I found another hummingbird nest in a different tree, this time with adult sized fledglings. I managed to take a few pictures before the mama hummingbird came back.

I mentioned to her a long while back that a hummingbird set up a nest outside and she asked me to take pictures. So here they are.

The mama hummingbird was really brave, never flying away, even when I got really close. A few times I tried to sneak pictures of inside the nest, but she’d always fly back and hover right in my face, as if to say, “What do you think you’re doing?”

I did manage to take some, but they’re kind of hard to see. Still, the babies are pretty adorable.

I meant to take more pictures when the babies were fully grown, but they had already flown away by then. But if another mama hummingbird comes by, I’ll try again.
